“Break Silence and Stop Violence”, SIO

28-02-09 Students Islamic Organization of  India organized a protest on February 28, 2009 in front of the DC office at 3.00pm against the criminals of the society. The main aim of the programme was to break the silence and stop the violence. Dr.N.Ismail, Principal of Badriya PU College, Mangalore in his speech said that “We all the citizens of India irrespective of cast and culture should fight and oppose the criminals of the society who attack on the innocent students and others.”

 In the glaring violation of law & order a group of thirty youth have attacked two SIO activists Ahmed Nafih and Muhammed Ilyas who were pasting anti-violenceposters at Puttur on 24^th Feb 2009. While attacking fatally hoodlums have articulated saying that “you are the terrorists, who has caused violence on you?” thus causing further innuendo and defamation to the victims religious feelings. This sort of groups attacking every where Dakshina Kannada district and police doing nothing about it is on the increase. Rule of law should protect the innocents and those law abiding ones. Howerver this incident portends further dangers to peace loving youth and responsible citizens.

 Shaukath Ali, Sathyajith Rai (All college Student Union Leader), Ruksana (District Organiser SIO), Shahid M (Joint Secretary SIO Karnataka), Mhd. Kunhi were also present on the occasion.
