28.05.10
Mangalore : Inaugurating a new guest house in Dharmasthala, Yoga Teacher
Ramdev from Himachal Pradesh who is in DK district presently, advised people
to shun 500 and 1000 rupee currency notes which are tainted with corruption
and possibly, fake notes in circulation. He added that Prime Minister Man
Mohan Singh, who had a clean image in public life, wanted a ban on these two
notes to avoid corruption in public service. Baba Ram dev on Wednesday
visited Dharmasthala and worshipped at the
Hindu
Temple, administered by a Jain Dharmadhikari and guarded by a Daiva or
spirit, called Annappa.

Ramdev called
for removal of corruption, poverty and hunger, as well as ill – treatment of
common people in the public life, be it in Temples, or schools, or markets.
He was against release of large quantities of hot currency notes. The
government will do well to withdraw the currency notes above Rs.100/- face
value, he felt.
Politics is
full of money flows and corrupt practices by men (and women) wielding
power,Baba said. He had discussed the issues involved with none other than
the PM himself. PM’s response was positive and complementary to what he had
told PM, Baba added. Some corrupt officials and Ministers were against
cleaning the corridors of administration and black money economy, he
revealed.
