KSRTC Mazdoor Sangh calls off a weeks strike

29.03.10 Mangalore : The hunger strike by K.S.R.T.C Mazdoor Sangh which began on March 22 and stretched until March 28 in front of DC’s office has been called off, said Shantharam Vittal, Secretary of K.S.R.T.C Mazdoor Sangh, Bangalore, speaking at the press meet held at Woodlands Hotel, Mangalore on Monday, March 29.

He also said that the decision was taken after a long meeting with the senior persons of BMS (Bharatheeya Mazdoor Sangh) district and state council including B Nagraj Shetty, chairman, Coastal Development Authority  who managed to convince  that a joint action committee including representatives of the Government, BJP, Mazdoor Sangh, Bus owners, District administration and the KSRTC has been created, and the decisions which would be taken by the action committee would be implemented within 30 days.

If the action do not take place as the decision, then the Mazdoor Sangh go back to protest again, he added.

Sheshappa Moolya A, General Secretary of K.S.R.T.C Mazdoor Sangh, Mangalore unit was also present.
