Kannada Novel “Gagana Surya” released at Press Club today.

29.04.10 Mangalore : A Kannada novel, “Gagana Surya” (Sun in the sky), written by veteran M.C. Jayappa was released at the Patrika Bhavan near Lady Hill in the city today at noon.

Well-known Janapada Scholar and writer, Dr. Amrut Someshwara was present to release the book at press club. Dr. R. Narasimha Murthy, Hod of Kannada at the Gokarnathaeshwara College in Mannagudda, introduced the pithy novel to a crowded audience. Both the speakers lauded the writer’s contribution to literature and hoped for more writings from him. Jayappa is working as a librarian in the Mangalore University and knows the mind of students coming there. He wrote poems also, said Dr. R.N. Murthy who spoke on the novel.

Dr. Prakash Chandra Shishila, Professor at Govt. First grade College in car street, Mangalore conducted the proceedings, while the writer M.C. Jayappa himself proposed a vote of thanks.
