Protest against the pub attack by the Student's Association

31-01-09 On 24th January Saturday, a 40 members of the Shri Rama Sena attacked a pub on Balmatta Road in Mangalore and assaulted some girls. A protest on January 31st in front of the DC office was organised and conducted by the students and faculty of various colleges against the terrible act against the women in the locality. This program has been mainly initiated to restore the freedom and fundamental rights of the citizens of India.

 

 HOD of St. Aloysious M.S.W college Ida D’Souza said to the reporters that “Everybody in the world should have the freedom to enjoy their own life. But some people in the name of culture and tradition attack and spoil the life of innocent people. An act like this against the women in public places is really a shame to our society. She also said that “We want to have a Ramarajya and not Ravanarajya. The main target of this curriculum is to neutralize the culture and restore the fundamental freedom and rights of all the citizens of India.”

 

The program had been organized by the faculty and students of  St. Aloysious M.S.W college. Students of Sri Devi, Roshni, Srinivas, Alvas and others also  gathered and protested against the act.
