Congress party do not have right to accuse Palemar: Bhandary

31.03.10 : The congress leaders like Ivan D’Souza, M G Hegde and Vijay Kumar Shetty, staged a protest on March 29, Monday, accusing Krishna J Palemar to be involved in the missing case of advocate Preetham Kumar with out any proof, said Monappa Bhandary, former president, BJP district unit.

He was speaking to the media person, at the press meet held at district BJP office on March 31, Wednesday.

He also said that, Advocate Ivan D’Souza even claimed Palemar of being the culprit behind the missing case of advocate and hence demanded resignation of the minister which is baseless.

The district police have been neglecting the case for the past three months and the minister was falsely accused to give a break to the case, he claimed. Bhandary informed the media that Palemar had personally requested the police department to investigate the case.

The leaders even revealed that Preetham Kumar’s love affair with one of the relatives of Palemar might be the reason of the missing. But actually Palemar do not even know Preetham Kumar personally, he alleged.

Apart from it, Preetham’s parents also gave the statement that there is no suspicion on the minister and they respect him. No name of the minister was filed in the petition, but the matter was pulled during the argument, he added.

Shrikar Prabhu, Puspalatha and Sudhakar Joshi were present at the press meet.
