Anganwadi Activists Association organized Hakkotaya Convention

02.06.10 Mangalore : The present state government has given more benefits
and schemes to the Anganwadi Activists, said Narendra Swamy, Minister for
Women and Child Welfare Department.
He was speaking at the Dakshina Kannada district Anganwadi Activists and
helpers association organized Hakkotaya Convention at Town Hall on June 2,
Wednesday. He also said that The Anganwadi workers must not feel sad that
the government is not providing any beneficiaries for the worker. Since no
other government like CM B S Yeddyurappa’s government has done such an
improvement for the anganwadi workers ever before.

He also said that, the chief minister has agreed to give pension foe
anganwadi workers within one month of their retirement after 50 years. The
government is also planning to implement mote schemes for the workers, he
added.
The concerned authority has submitted affidavit to government, requesting to
provide qualitative and quantitative food for the children and in respect
the capacity builder has also been appointed to look after the maintenance,
he said.

M P Bharathi, president of association presided over the function.
Shakuntala A, deputy director, Women and Child Welfare Department
participated as the chief guests. Vishalakshi, president, Mangalore city
association welcomed the gathering. Vijaya Eshwar Gowda, secretary of
association proposed vote of thanks.
