DNA Test result of victims to receive in 3 days: Muniappa

31.05.10 Mangalore : The police officials will take in charge of the child’s
body, one of the victim of the plane crash which went missing and take
necessary action after receiving the DNA test results of the remaining
bodies 2 – 3 days, said K H Muniappa , State Minister for Railways
He was addressing the media person at the press meet held at circuit house
on May 30, Sunday. He also said that, all the families of 158 victims of the
crash will receive compensation; any hurdles in the matter will be taken to
court to solve the legal problems.
The government of Karnataka has sanctioned the amount of compensation and
assured to give the compensation to the families as soon after completing
the formalities.
Sudheer G. Ameen, the group commander, assistant general manager, QMC of Air
India, said that the national carrier has successfully given compensation to
more than 52 claimants so far. Presently, the process giving compensation
has stopped and will further continue on June 3, he added.
Seemanth Kumar Singh, Commissioner of Police said that legal firm Mulla and
Mulla Associates hired by Air India will help the bereaved families to claim
the compensation.
