KIRAN BEDI

"Malashri playing the role of
Kiran Bedi"
Story:
A repeated subject, the story starts with a honest constable (Srinivasamurthy)
who has only one goal, to make his daughter an IPS officer. He
names her Kiran Bedi (Malashri) and devotes his life and soul
in upbringing her to an IPS officer. Kiran is also courageous
and stands by her father's ideals. Soon, she becomes a terror
to the baddies like Bhoopathy (Ashish Vidyarthi), Naga, Vicky,
Muni, Mobile Nachappa and others. In no time, she is
transferred to Bellary from Bangalore but then Kiran hatches a
plan and this leads to the death of Vicky, son of Bhoopathy.
Enraged by this, he sends his men and despite putting up a lot
of fight, Kiran dies. Srinivasamurthy is shattered as he
watches all this in front of his own eyes but then he sees a
ray of hope in the form of the petty thief Bellary
Bhagyalakshmi (Malashri again). Bhagya's only aim is to make
money and she is street smart to achieve her goals.
Srinivasamurthy gives her what she wants and gets her to
Bangalore to pretend to be Kiran Bedi. In no time, Bhoopathy
and gang fall in several troubles due to Bhagya and when
things enter the court, her true identity is revealed and even
Bhoopathy gets punishment since they admit to the murder.
Bhagya and Srinivasamurthy come out of jail and she pursues
education to become a real IPS officer. What happens from
there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has attempted to come up with a storyline that
has been visited several times but then the presentation was
neat which worked. The narrative had few logical lapses. The
dialogues were punch packed, script was written okay though
there were flaws, screenplay was average. Music had that pep
and the camerawork was effective. Editing was needed to cut
the length of the film and costumes and locations were
suitable. Malashri has come up with an energetic performance
and her stunts and dialogues will charge up the front
benchers. Srinivasamurthy came out with his best performance
while Rangayana Raghu provided relief with his comedy, Ashish
Vidyarthi was regular with his evil acts, the others did their
bit to add value to the film.
Conclusion:
Perhaps the release time of the film was not proper as the
release of 'Veera Madhakari' last week has a very similar
storyline. While the first half goes about with punch
dialogues and action sequences, the second half gets emotional
but culminates to the mass track with the high energy
dialogues and some good comedy. The film is all the way a
Malashri treat but she has to work on her body if she is
looking at making a comeback. This is a true delight to the
mass audience and they will connect to it well. This will make
some money at the box office.
