Mangalore: A BBM college student from Alva’s college in Moodabidri, identified as Krishnanand shetty (20) died when he was riding a pillion on a motorbike that was crushed under a speeding car near Beluwai in Moodabidri on Wednesday morning, February.15.

Shetty was moving on his friend Ranjith’s vehicle, but obviously had no helmet.

Both sustained injuries. They were from Aloor, residing in Bunts’ hostel at Thellar in Karkala. They were going to the college on the motorbike driven by Ranjith.

It is surmised here that the vehicle hit a bus first and both fell, while another vehicle coming from behind, ran over the pillion rider shetty, who died.

Local police are investigation.
