Mangalore: The corpse of 19 year old Coorgi boy Aneesh Anthony from Ponnampet near Madikeri, was washed up by waves on Monday, which had earlier drowned him. His father PL Anthony (53) has reached Mangalore to take the body of the student who had gone for a swim and got drowned. The body is at Wenlock Govt Hospital for Medical tests.
His girl friend Reshma Shetty (19) was somehow rescued by her friends, but admitted to A.J. Hospital in Kuntikana where she is progressing, after an ordeal of being in the jaws of death. Doctors stated that her condition was stable. The other persons in the group are safe.
The two students along with a small group of adventurers went to the TB beach from Bengre in a ferry boat on Sunday afternoon. A tide pulled away Aneesh into the sea forever. Police and coast guards struggled to save the pair, only the girl could be rescued.
